The Board of Management of Gaelchol\u00e1iste Luimnigh met on Thursday, 31 May 2018 at 5.30pm. \u00a0The following is the agreed report for the school community.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Board praised all pupils for their enthusiasm, hard-work and achievements during the year. \u00a0The Board notes the very high number of letters of commendation which were sent to pupils<\/span><\/p>\n

The Board is extremely proud of all its pupils and wishes the entire school community a very enjoyable Summer break.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Bord complimented the staff for all its hard-work in developing the academic and personal development of pupils of the school and for the many achievements in 2017\/2018.<\/span><\/p>\n

Particular reference and commendation was made regarding the time teachers invest in extra-curricular activities for the benefit of the pupils.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Board would like to thank the Limerick and Clare Education & Training Board (LCETB), Chief Executive, Mr. George O\u2019 Callaghan and his management team for all of its guidance and support in enriching the education and development of pupils at Gaelchol\u00e1iste Luimnigh.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Board is very grateful to the Parents of the Parents Council who meet with the Principal every month to discuss all aspects of the school\u2019s service.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Board praised the Council for all its work with the highly successful \u2018Night at the Dogs\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Board wished all exam pupils in Third and Sixth year the very best in the exams.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Board congratulated Professor Eugene Wall on his appointment as President of Mary Immaculate College, Limerick.<\/span>
\n<\/span>The Board congratulated Professor Teresa O\u2019 Doherty on her appointment as President of Marino College, Dublin.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Board thanked and acknowledged the support, commitment and dedication of Mr. Diarmuid \u00d3 Murch\u00fa, former principal of the Modhscoil.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Board congratulated Mr. \u00c9ibhear O\u2019 Dea on his appointment as Principal of an Mhodhscoil. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Board congratulated and praised the school chaplain, Canon M\u00edche\u00e1l Liston on his silver jubilee. \u00a0A special tribute mass will take place on 17 June 2018.<\/span><\/p>\n
