The fourth John Hooper Medal for Statistics competition has been a great success this year for Gaelcholáiste Luimnigh again. Three of the school’s Fifth YEar pupils received an award for their work at a beautiful ceremony in the Watch TOwer, Department of Education and Skills in Dublin on 16th October.
The judges wanted to commend the entries into the competition in 2014, the standard of the entries has risen each year since the competitions inception. Everyone involved has been impressed with the breadth of work and creativity from the students entering the John Hooper competition.
The fourth John Hooper Medal for Statistics competition was launched by the Minister of State for Public Service Reform and the Office of Public Works, Brian Hayes T.D, on 17th October 2013. Thousands of students registered for the competition from the whole island of Ireland. 388 posters, both Irish and English language entries, were received in the CSO.
