Gaelcholáiste Luimnigh pupils came second in the recent ITLG Young Innovators event at Shannon Airport, coming a very close second to the worthy winners, Castletroy College. With support and mentoring from Irish Technology Leadership Group (ITLG) investors, the Irish “Dragons” Barry O’Sullivan, Peter Casey, Gavin Duffy and Sean O’Sullivan as well as Dell’s Entrepreneur in Residence, Ingrid Vanderveldt among others, secondary school students from Limerick, Clare, Kerry, Cork, Kilkenny, Waterford and Westmeath all competed against each other for an array of the latest technology gadgets and cash prizes. Indeed, it was a wonderful result for LCETB to have two of its colleges in the top three.
